Vote for Housing is a broad-based Toronto coalition of community groups working to put the issue of livable and affordable housing on the provincial election agenda. Livable and affordable housing is in a state of good repair, the right size for the resident’s household and available at a cost that does not compromise an individual’s ability to meet other basic needs, including food, clothing and access to health care services, education and recreational activities.
Our membership includes representatives from nonprofit and community-based agencies, faith-based organizations, the co-op housing sector, seniors organizations, social housing tenant leaders, disability and anti-poverty organizations, legal clinics, nursing associations, research and policy groups, tenant rights organizations, housing service providers and nonprofit affordable housing developers.
